FLAVOR SEED

TIMING is key in most successful ventures, and I think that might be true for a company new to me “FLAVOR SEED”! Adam Jenkins is a principal in the business and was a former classmate of my daughter Caki at Wake Forest University School of Business. During a recent “link-up”, Caki discovered Adam had changed careers and was “sprouting” his Dad’s dream of building a spice company. With treasured family recipes and a desire to create a nutritional lifestyle (which I promote) for his own budding family, he sought only the finest and freshest of organic ingredients that would meet USDA approval.

Adam and I were introduced;  explaining to him my passion for cooking and especially with something new and different, we decided upon 3 spices for me to try. Again, here is where the TIMING chimes in. I love to cook lamb and Charleston, SC’s beloved Old Towne restaurant closed and along with it the availability to purchase their Greek Spices. Faced with having to replicate my own, Adam said “No problem, I have just the spice you are looking for, “IT’S GREEK TO ME”.

I also mentioned that I use Montreal Steak seasoning for various meats and he suggested experimenting with “DIVINE BOVINE”; and for my old stand-by of Beer Butt Chicken, the “ANYTHING WITH WINGS”.

The spices arrived on my birthday and the gift for me was better than “being in a candy store”. Just IN TIME for summer grilling coupled with the TIMING of more people cooking at home, I hope you will follow along with me the sampling of an exciting new line of products. Available online and in local retail stores, I am certain you will hear more about this treasured legacy Adam is creating for his Dad and his own family.

You only have to open the lid to discover the freshness
