Bacon Wrapped Dates

24 almonds

24 dates, pitted

6 slices market bacon, cut in quarters


Stuff each date with an almond.  Wrap a pice of the bacon around each date and skewer with a wooden toothpick.  Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15 minutes.  Drain and serve.  This dish can be doubled, tripled…make plenty because this is a popular dish.  It is also good at room temperature.  Freezes well for unexpected guests as an appetizer.
